Cloth masks, even those with a layer of polypropylene fabric, have a low filtration rate, especially when used on their own without an additional filter. Additionally, they do not provide a tight facial seal to trap potentially harmful aerosols. Infection between two people can happen within 27 minutes. These are best suited for extremely low-risk environments that you will not be in for extended periods of time.
