PPE Supply Canada's procedural face masks are disposable and are designed for one-time use.
If your mask is wet, visibly dirty, soiled or torn, it should be immediately disposed of and changed, as the filtration efficiency and effectiveness diminishes with wear. We recommend the use of a new disposable mask at least each day, but it is up to the wearer to determine when a new mask is required.
Surgical masks do not provide a tight facial seal, resulting in half of the air escaping without being filtered. Infection takes one hour.
